Head Coach: Bill Zaniboni
Bill grew up in Plymouth, MA and started playing hockey at the age of 2. Playing his high school hockey for Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury winning 3 State Championships and voted MVP junior and Senior year. Played junior hockey in the USHL and NAHL before accepting a scholarship to Northern Michigan University playing in the CCHA. At Northern Michigan University Bill was awarded the Peranni Cup his senior year for most game stars and winning community service awards his junior and senior year. Bill graduated with a B.S in Business Marketing. Playing 4 years of Professional hockey in the ECHL,CHL,IHL,and SPHL. Last year playing with the Mississippi Surge was awarded team MVP and Goalie of the year while winning his first professional championship.
Bill started coaching when he was 16 years old for USA hockey satellite programs and really enjoyed himself knowing this could be a great way to pass on his knowledge to the up and coming players. While playing hockey Bill always coached in the summer programs and continued learning about the game. Bill now owns my own goalie school call HockeyBeauties and have taught some very special kids (Matt Skoff - Sioux City Musketeers ushl), (Kent Simpson - Everet WHL drafted 2nd round Chicago BlackHawks) and (Kenny Rieter University of Minnisota Daluth) to name a few. Bill was also a volunteer assistant coach for the Soo Eagles (NOJHL) the past two years. Zaniboni has a Level 4 USA Hockey certification.
Bill is extremely pleased with the opportunity to come to Bozeman and be apart of a great tradition on hockey with the ICEDOGS and Ownership. He know reside in Bozeman with his wife Kim and hope to develop a great family environment with the people of Bozeman and the ICEDOGS.
